Easy Christmas Crafts for Kids

Here are just a few easy projects Weston and I have done together this season. Weston loves to help, but he has to be helping almost the whole time or he is out :o) And of course, Weston is playing the role of Vanna White!

Weston showing you his beautiful paper chain garland. Who made it through elementary school without making these? My guess is no one!

Weston obviously couldn't use the scissors to cut strips or the stapler by himself, so we compromised. Weston used his Christmas stickers to decorate white paper. I cut some scrapbook paper and his decorated paper into strips and did the stapling while he did the stickers. Go team go!

To make these wreaths, trace their hands on green paper and cut out. Do a bunch....like 12 or more (depending on their hand size of course). Let them decorate the hands and when they finish each hand you glue it onto the wreath. to make the wreath, just grab a paper plate and cut out the middle plate part. When it's all dry, use a ribbon or a push pin to hang it in place. Easy, cute and fun!

Unless you have older kids, this one might not be a kids craft. I just cut a bunch of circles (plain paper, decorative paper, then the paper with the letters), glued them together, then stapled each to a ribbon. If you had older kids they could easily do this on their own, and it ends up looking fairly nice...not exactly like a kid project. KWIM?

We also tried to make these Rudolph the Red Nosed Handprints, but it didn't hold Weston's attention and I don't care enough to finish those on my own :o) They are pretty cute though!
